This should be your first stop for anything you need in Pembroke. They will be able to point you to the right person or place for what you need. They are also very useful for a range of practical resources e.g. luggage scales if you ask them nicely. In addition, if you need to take a taxi to Accident and Emergency at Addenbrookes Hospital the Porters can organise this and the cost is normally covered by college. They’re very friendly and great people to get to know.
A list of qualified first aiders around college can be found here.
Ms. Jan Brighting has an office (surgery) in G10, and her opening hours are Monday to Friday 10:30 – 12:30. Feel free to call on her. She can attend to many minor ailments and give advice and help with any anxieties about health, as well as helping you register with a GP. A sick bay adjoins her surgery, where members of the College can be administered to if required. If you want to make an advance appointment or contact her after hours, leave a message with the porters or send her an email at: email@example.com.
